Testimony in Support of Transportation Funding – March 2nd

Attached are Message Points for March 2nd hearings on transportation bills; and written testimony that will be submitted on the Blue Ribbon Commission on Transportation Funding and the two gas tax bills.

We want industry people to attend these hearings. If the principle of your company is unable to attend, please send representatives. They will not need to testify, but will be acknowledged in the hearing room.

ARTBA 2010 Highway Worker Memorial Scholarship

ARTBA is looking for your help to identify worthy students from across the nation for the 2010 Highway Worker Memorial Scholarship Program".Application deadline is March 19th.

ESC “Yellow Card” Expiration Date Extension

SHA has issued a letter informing those that have taken the SHA Erosion & Sediment Control Certification Program and have cards that are expired or are about to expire are extended until January 31, 2011. For complete details, please read the letter.

Letter to Governor and MD General Assembly and Talking Points for Contacting Legislators

On January 29, 2010 a letter was sent to Governor O'Malley, the MD General Assembly and Maryland transportation Administrators concerning the current economic condition of the Transportation Construction Industry in Maryland.
